Bark Bingo to Benefit the Humane Society | Society holds fundraiser to care for more pets

Brooksville – Friday, August 25th, 2017 the Masaryktown Community Center will host an evening of Bingo fun to benefit the dogs and cats of the Humane Society of the Nature Coast

Doors will open at 5:00 pm at the Community Center located at 539 Lincoln Ave, Brooksville and the first of 20 games begin at 6:00 pm.  Jimmy McKittrick of Terlep Chiropractic will emcee the evening of bingo games, raffle prizes, food and fun.    The fund-raising event, which benefits homeless pets at the no-time-limit shelter, will feature 20 games with all prizes valued over $50 and one Grand Prize game.  The event ticket includes 20 game cards, dauber and a food and beverage buffet.  Additional game cards, the Grand Prize game card, raffle tickets and a Cash Bar will also be available to guests for additional donations.

Barbara Sprague, Executive Director of the Society says “Bark Bingo is going to be a fun and lively evening for everyone whether novice or serious Bingo player.

Tickets for the event are on sale now online at or at the Society’s shelter located at 7200 Mobley Rd., Brooksville at the corner of Wiscon and Mobley Roads.  Tickets are $30 per person or a table of 6 may be reserved for a $175 special.  Limited admission will be available the evening of the event

The Humane Society of the Nature Coast will care for over 600 dogs and cats this year. Sponsorship opportunities are still being sought as well as prize donations.  Sprague added that the event will feature sponsors and local items to over 400 expected attendees.  “We rely on our community partnerships and are so excited to work with MCC to save more lives.”

Becky Adair of the Masaryktown Community Center said “We just love animals and any chance we have to help the Humane Society of the Nature Coast rescue more pets in our own community, we will be there!
